Szechuan Tofu

This crispy Szechuan tofu and vegetable stir fry features a sticky homemade spicy Szechuan sauce made with toasted peppercorns for a unique and tingly flavor.

Szechuan  peppercorns

green onions

red bell pepper


Coat the pressed tofu with cornstarch and spices.

step 01

Bake the tofu for 20 minutes on an oiled and parchment lined baking sheet. Flip halfway!

step 02

Toast the Szechuan peppercorns over low heat.

step 03

Grind them and add to the remaining sauce ingredients

step 04

Thicken the sauce with cornstarch over low heat, then toss with the tofu.

step 05

Serve over rice with stir fry veggies and green onion on top.
