Yellow Rice

This easy, seasoned yellow rice recipe has a vibrant color from turmeric and a flavorful taste, perfect for pairing with grilled veggies, tofu, and other proteins.

step 1

Sauté the onion and garlic in a pot with olive oil.

Add the turmeric, curry powder, cumin and bay leaf.

Add the rinsed rise and stir. Then pour vegetable broth and bring to a boil.

Reduce the heat to low, cover the saucepan, and simmer for about 15-18 minutes.

step 5

Once done, fluff rice with a fork and mix in the chopped fresh cilantro.

step 6

Serve on its own or as a side dish.

The rice can be frozen in an airtight container for up to 3 months.
