Fried Tempeh

about the recipe

This fried tempeh is marinated to perfection, crunchy and crispy. It has a savory, umami flavor and can be pan-fried or made in the air fryer.

main ingredients

vinegar & sesame oil

garlic & ginger

brown sugar & soy sauce


step 1

Slice the tempeh block into thin pieces.

step 2

Mix together the marinade ingredients in a shallow container.

step 3

Add the tempeh and marinate for at least 20 minutes for the best flavor!


Be sure to stir the slices so the marinade can soak into both sides of the tempeh!

step 4

Add to a skillet over medium high heat and pan fry until golden (about 10 minutes)!


Serve with coconut rice  (or another grain) and your favorite veggies!
