This Iced Hazelnut Oatmilk Shaken Espresso is a Starbucks inspired, creamy coffee made with homemade toasted hazelnut syrup and velvety oat milk.  It's vegan and dairy-free!

DIY  hazelnut syrup

ice cubes

blonde espresso

step 1

Make the hazelnut syrup by lightly toasted chopped hazelnuts in a pan.

step 2

Simmer the sugar, water and hazelnuts until slightly thickened (about 5-10 minutes).

step 3

Mix in hazelnut extract for a bolder flavor and a pinch of salt. Strain to remove the nuts.

step 4

Transfer the hazelnut syrup to a clean, airtight jar.

step 5

Add the syrup and blonde espresso to a sealable jar.

step 6

Add ice cubes, then shake until frothy.


Pour the shaken espresso into a serving glass over fresh ice.


Add chilled oat milk and more hazelnut syrup to taste!
