This garlic tofu is marinated to perfection, pan-fried, and then coated in a thick, sticky, sweet yet savory, garlic lime sauce. Serve with rice for an easy weeknight dinner.





firm tofu

sambal oelek

soy sauce

brown sugar

step 1

Mix all the sauce ingredients except the cornstarch. Pour half of the sauce onto the prepared tofu cubes and marinate.

Add the marinated tofu in a heated skillet with oil and stir fry the cubes until golden brown.

Meanwhile, pour the sauce into a small saucepan. Let it simmer then add cornstarch slurry.

step 4

Reduce the heat of the tofu to low and add the garlic lime sauce. Stir to coat the tofu well.

step 5

Continue to for 1 minute. Remove from the heat and serve warm with green onions, cilantro, and rice.

tips & tricks

To make this a garlic lime tofu stir fry, add bell peppers, broccoli, edamame, or  even cauliflower.

This dish can also be made in the air fryer. Air fry for about 10-15 minutes, then coat with the sauce!
