This homemade seitan recipe is easy, beginner friendly, and ready in less than 30 minutes! It's tender, moist, so chewy AND this recipe doesn't require any steaming or boiling!

main ingredients

veggie stock

soft tofu


vital wheat gluten


soy sauce

add the wet ingredients to a food processor & blend until smooth

step 01

mix together the vital wheat gluten & spices, then, add the blended wet ingredients

step 02

mix to combine, then gently knead the dough with your hands for 1-2 minutes

step 03

Divide the dough & form into fillets. Place them in an oiled baking dish & bake for 15 minutes.

step 04

you can slice the seitan into strips or cubes when done baking!


pan fry with your favorite sauces and add to almost any dish you'd like!
