A super easy homemade sweet sauce made from 5 ingredients that are likely already in your pantry: coconut sugar, brown sugar, soy sauce, ginger & garlic.
Ingredients You’ll Need:
Most of the ingredients you need for this sauce, should already be in your pantry. It’s made from:
- coconut sugar (or sub. dark brown sugar)
- brown sugar
- soy sauce
- ginger
- garlic.
The coconut sugar adds a nice caramel undertone to the sauce that marries nicely with the salty umami flavor of the soy. If you don’t have coconut sugar on hand, no worries! I recommend subbing in dark brown sugar or even normal brown sugar in its place.
All you need to do is bring the ingredients to a boil and then reduce the sauce to a very low simmer for a few minutes. And voila! You’re done.
