I recently picked up a jar of pistachio cream from Costco and immediately knew I had to recreate Starbucks’ iconic Pistachio Latte at home. This homemade pistachio latte is slightly sweet, nutty, and perfectly creamy, without the coffee-shop price tag.

Why You’ll Love This Pistachio Latte

If you’ve been following along for a while, you probably know I’m a huge coffee fan. I’m always trying to recreate my favorite coffee-shop drinks at home, mostly so I can make them exactly how I like them.

This pistachio latte is one of those recipes. It feels a little fancy, but it comes together in just a few minutes with minimal effort.

Emily’s Recipe Notes:

  • Flavor: Nutty and slightly sweet
  • Texture: Creamy
  • Difficulty: So easy

Ingredient Highlights & Some Swaps

Pistachio Cream

I used a big jar of vegan pistachio cream by Vör that I found at Costco. Lately, pistachio cream has been way easier to find and way more affordable thanks to its recent popularity. You’ll spot versions at specialty grocery stores, online, and sometimes even in the baking aisle. Look for one that’s smooth, spoonable, and made mostly from pistachios rather than just flavoring.

If you can’t find pistachio cream, a pistachio simple syrup works too. The flavor will be lighter and sweeter, but it still gives you that cozy pistachio vibe without extra effort.

Blonde Espresso

A light roast or blonde espresso works best here. It has a softer, slightly fruitier coffee profile that lets the pistachio shine instead of competing with it.

If you only have a medium roast, that’s totally fine. Just avoid anything super dark or smoky, which can overpower the nutty notes.

Oat Milk

I used Oatly Barista Blend for this latte because it steams well and stays creamy without separating. Any barista-style oat milk will work here, and you can also swap in soy or almond milk if that’s what you prefer.

Just keep in mind that thicker milks give you a more café-style latte feel.

How to Make A Pistachio Latte

Exact ingredient quantities are in the recipe card below!

Pour the pistachio milk on top to taste.

Serving the Latte

After assembling the pistachio latte, you can add more oat milk to taste. If you like a sweeter drink, you can also drizzle the top with more pistachio cream.

I also like adding a few finely chopped pistachios on top for decoration.

Recipe notes

Note 1 – Pistachio Cream: I found this big jar of dairy-free pistachio cream by Vor at Costco for ~$11. If you have a Costco membership I highly recommend getting it there, as it’s much cheaper than ordering it online.
If you can’t find pistachio cream, you can also try this Pistachio Syrup. However, I have not tested this exact syrup and can’t guarantee how realistic it tastes.
